Seed Bread Pizza Crust

We all know everyone loves pizza. For most, pizza symbolizes a sort of tradition; to sit down and grab a slice with friends is one of life’s greatest pleasures. But there is often times a bit of anxiety and unease when it comes to pizza, and the difference between average and quality crust is enormous. That’s why we decided to take matters into our own hands… why not make a crust with the quality ingredients we know and LOVE to eat every day? Here is a recipe to make your own individual homemade crusts with our Seed Bread Mix in just a few short steps. The best part is that it makes individual pizzas, so you can choose to top yours however you’d like! Our current favorite toppings are Beyond Meat spicy vegan sausage, fresh vegan pesto from New Seasons and Miyoko’s vegan mozzarella.

Servings: 2

Prep time: 5-10 minuets

Cook time: 20 Minutes

  • 1 Package of Ground Breaking Bread Seed Bread Mix

  • 1/4 Cup oil (olive oil, avocado oil, sunflower seed oil and coconut oil all work)

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey for a salty/sweet taste

  • 2 1/2 cups water

  • 1 tsp Italian spices: oregano, basil, rosemary, etc (OPTIONAL)

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and parchment line a standard baking sheet

  • Add mix, oil, sweetener, spices and water to a bowl and mix generously with your hands

  • Split the dough into two, forming two round pizza shaped crusts on the baking sheet.

    • TIP: place another sheet parchment paper or beeswax wrap on TOP of the crust to slowly flatten and thin out the crust with your hands. You can also use a rolling pin on top of the parchment paper to achieve a thinner crust. Then remove top layer of parchment or beeswax.

  • Bake for 5-7 minutes (until starting to brown) then flip for another 5 minutes.

  • Remove crust and add all of your delicious toppings!

  • Bake for another 5 minutes to melt cheese or crisp up veggies

  • ENJOY!
